501(c)(3) Nonprofit — Hubbardston, MA

On the move.
Never fall out.

Oscar Mike Ruckers is a community of veterans, first responders, and neighbors who strap on a weighted pack and walk — for the families left behind, for the ones still healing, and for each other.

The Mission

We carry the weight so they don’t carry it alone.

Oscar Mike Ruckers is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit built on a simple idea: strap on a weighted pack, walk together, and raise money for the people who need it most. Every ruck we host is named for someone — a veteran or first responder whose family is now carrying a weight of their own. We bring our community together, one mile at a time, so their sacrifice is never forgotten.

Honoring the Fallen

Every memorial ruck carries a name — a service member or first responder whose story we walk to remember.

Supporting Our Heroes

Proceeds go directly to the families of the veterans, firefighters, and officers we ruck for.

Building Community

Every ruck is family- and dog-friendly, and open to all fitness levels — showing up matters more than pace.

Rucking for a Purpose

The weight on your back is a reminder. Small on its own, but together our steps carry something heavy.

Ruck N’ Lift Fundraiser

For our very first mission, we partnered with CrossFit696 in Gardner — and they embraced our cause from the start. Together we hosted the Manion WOD in memory of fallen Marine USMC 1st Lt Travis Manion, raising funds for the Travis Manion Foundation.

It was an honor to have George Vangel from the TMF Hartford Chapter join us and share meaningful insight about the vision and mission of the Foundation. What we witnessed was more than a fundraiser — it was community, service, and mission in action.

Together, we raised $1,200 for the Travis Manion Foundation.

Past Mission — Wachusett Mountain

Rise & Ruck for Trooper Kevin Trainor

Today was about more than miles. We gathered at Wachusett Mountain for the 1st ever Rise & Ruck event in memory and honor of Massachusetts State Police Trooper Kevin Trainor — remembering a man who answered the call to serve, honoring a fallen Trooper, and standing shoulder to shoulder as a community that refuses to forget.

Veterans, First Responders, families, and supporters came together with a common purpose: to honor a hero and support those he left behind. Every ruck tells a story. Every flag carried represents someone who served.

At Oscar Mike Ruckers, we believe that remembrance requires action. We don’t simply say their names — we show up, we carry the weight, and we ensure their legacy continues to live on through our community.

To the Trainor family: Kevin’s sacrifice will never be forgotten. His memory was carried up that mountain — and will continue to be carried by all of us moving forward.

Together, we raised $4,188 for the Trainor family.
